Twitter Updates Direct Messaging
Twitter has announced recent updates in an attempt to rival the likes of WhatsApp and Facebook. Direct messages (DMs) are tweets that are privately sent between accounts who both follow each other.
DMs are often overlooked by Twitter users and in an industry where social messaging is booming it is time that Twitter stepped up. The Twitter support account tweeted that: “over the next few weeks, we’re rolling out an update that makes deleting DMs more consistent across web and mobile. We’re also making an update to the Twitter iPhone and Android apps that will allow you to access your entire DM history.”
Although not massive updates it will solve an issue of messages not being visible when switching between devices and it could also indicate changes that Twitter plan to carry out in the future.
