Developer

We have a unique opportunity for a Developer looking to join a small but well-developed team. You will design and develop new functionality whilst helping support and maintain existing applications. The successful candidate will have experience of a range of .Net 4.5 technologies, notably C#, ASP.Net and MVC, primarily using Visual Studio 2015 and SQL Server. Experience of working with APIs and 3rd party applications would be a distinct advantage.

We’re looking for a self-motivated, strong communicator who is able to expertly handle queries and translate the needs of our team into tangible solutions. You will be able to develop all layers of our key business applications, including robust and scalable database design, implementing business rules and creating the user interface. You will also be responsible for the development lifecycle from analysis and design through to testing and maintenance.

You will have the opportunity to develop professionally using the MSDN and Pluralsight subscriptions we provide in order to expand your knowledge of the latest frameworks, technologies and industry best practises. You will determine if and how to utilise these tools in the applications you develop. And you will be passionate about learning to leverage the latest cloud-based & Big Data platforms (particularly Microsoft Azure & Google BigQuery) in the solutions you develop.

Requirements:

You must have extensive experience of:

  • C#
  • ASP.Net / MVC
  • Visual Studio
  • MS SQL Server including:
    • Database design
    • Entity Framework

Experience of the following is also desirable:

  • VSTS workflow management & bug tracking
  • Unit Testing
  • JavaScript
  • Front-end frameworks such as:
    • AngularJS
    • Knockout
    • React
  • Integration through Web Services and other APIs
  • F#
