We have a unique opportunity for a Junior Developer looking to join a small but well developed team. You will gain knowledge supporting and maintaining our existing applications, including managing and responding to support queries from the wider business and making improvements and bug fixes as required. You will then move on to develop your own new systems in a range of the latest technologies.
The successful candidate will have some experience of .Net technologies, notably C#, ASP.Net and MVC, primarily using Visual Studio 2015/2017 and SQL Server.
You will be self-motivated and a strong communicator, able to handle queries and translating the needs of our team into tangible solutions. You will have the opportunity to work on all layers of our key business applications, from robust and scalable database design, to implementing business rules and creating the user interface. You will also be involved in the development lifecycle from analysis and design through to testing and maintenance.
You will have the opportunity to develop professionally using the MSDN and Pluralsight subscriptions we provide in order to expand your knowledge of the latest frameworks, technologies and industry best practises. You will have the ability to determine if and how to utilise these tools in the applications you develop.
You will be passionate about learning to leverage the latest cloud-based & Big Data platforms (particularly Microsoft Azure & Google BigQuery) in the solutions you develop.
The successful candidate will have experience of:
- ASP.Net / MVC
- Visual Studio
- MS SQL Server including:
- Database design
- Entity Framework
Any experience of the following is also desirable:
- Microsoft Azure and/or Google BigQuery
- Front-end frameworks such as:
- Integration through Web Services and other APIs
- Visual Studio Online
- Unit Testing
