Front-End Developer

We’re on the hunt for new Front-End Developer to join our award-winning Creative team!

 

As a Front-End Developer, you’ll have an exciting opportunity to work within an existing creative team and play an integral role in the digital creative process for both clients and internal projects, working across all digital marketing channels. In this unique role, you’ll provide creative input from the very beginning of projects and work right through to delivery, as well as providing ongoing development support across the business.

What you’ll be doing

  • Bridge the gap between design and technology to develop and deliver projects aligned with objectives and technical requirements from across the business.
  • Support all digital channels by developing projects in line with wireframes, designs, and conversion aims of the page and campaign. Including campaign landing pages, interactive landing pages, interactive display banners, and quizzes.
  • Work with campaign teams to understand and challenge project objectives and requirements.
  • Fully scope out what is needed to bring development projects to life by understanding front-end and underlying code changes needed, whilst ensuring projects are commercially and technically viable.
  • Work with clients’ internal development teams to help get buy-in and support for ongoing projects and proposals.
  • Help campaign teams with troubleshooting by quickly and effectively diagnosing and helping to fix bugs within code.
  • Work with marketing and HR to maintain and update the Search Laboratory website, build and edit email templates, and provide ad-hoc support for development requests.
  • Set up FTP sites for clients and work with clients and internal teams to update and maintain our externally hosted server.
  • Be responsible for delivering projects on time and within the agreed project scope. Take ownership of the schedule for assigned projects, keeping stakeholders up to date with progress.
  • Maintain effective version control and quality control on all projects.
  • Conduct cross-browser and cross-device testing for all projects. Spot and fix cross device/browser issues, including desktop, tablet, and mobile.
  • Proactively suggest ways to improve processes and workflows with development projects.
  • Keep abreast of the latest trends and technologies to ensure our development offering remains current.
  • Select, brief, and liaise with freelancers when required to fulfil delivery of projects.

 

What we need from you

  • Ability to write well-structured, maintainable front-end code.
  • Understanding of usability and accessibility standards and approaches.
  • Knowledge of web standards and web accessibility requirements.
  • Knowledge of responsive design frameworks.
  • Experience connecting forms, via APIs and Webhooks, to CRMs and other third-party
  • systems.
  • A creative eye and strong attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of agile working practices.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Commercial awareness.
  • Knowledge of using email marketing software (Mail Chimp, Pardot) would be an
  • advantage.
  • Knowledge of updating and maintaining a ‘modern’ SharePoint Online site would be an

Salary Range: £30,000 - £33,000
