Head of HR

Search Laboratory is one of the largest and most established digital marketing agencies in the North of England. Our 150-strong team across our Leeds and New York offices have won tons of awards, and we are so proud to have been named in the Times Top 100 Companies to Work for List seven times.

We employ bright, ambitious and compassionate colleagues who want to be the best. We are looking for an experienced HR professional who is equally passionate about making sure Search Laboratory remains a great place to work.

Reporting to the Operations Director, you will play a key role in influencing and advising the Directors and Senior Leadership team. You will work alongside and manage our experienced Talent Acquisition Manager and H&S and Facilities Coordinator, with the potential to build a larger HR team in the future as the company grows.

A bit about you

  • You will have proven experience in a generalist HR role – being the first point of contact for managers and colleagues
  • You will work with the Directors and senior leadership team to develop a People Plan that supports the company’s strategic objectives
  • Strong ER experience is essential and you’ll have overall responsibility for ensuring HR compliance: updating Directors, managers and colleagues on changes in legislation as needed
  • To support the growth of our management team, we are looking for someone who can deliver our ILM Level 5 management development programme
  • You’ll expertly be able to put together action plans to improve the employee experience
  • Innovation and continuous improvement are very important to us at Search Laboratory. You will be a self-starter who can apply a range of HR solutions that are fit for our culture and strategic goals
  • Exposure to Facilities and Health & Safety legislation would be beneficial, although this is not essential
