Head of UK Sales

Established in 2005, Search Laboratory is an award-winning integrated digital marketing and online PR agency with offices in Leeds, London, and New York. As a certified Google Analytics 360 Suite sales partner, our analytics and data-driven expertise run throughout all our services. We work with some of the world’s leading brands on their national and international digital marketing campaigns.

We are looking for a highly accomplished senior sales professional to lead our prestigious team. As Head of UK Sales, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the sales department, whilst maintaining focus on the company’s strategic goals. You will forecast and deliver growth for the company whilst providing vision and direction for the company brand.

Key responsibilities 

  • Deliver against a target of new business wins and client upsell opportunities
  • Establish performance goals for all departmental employees; monitoring and managing performance on a continual basis
  • Oversee the recruitment and training of all sales personnel
  • Managing and motivating the sales and marketing team members
  • Coordinating all sales operations with other departments within the organisation
  • Ensuring the sales function are consistently working in line with our company ethos and principles
  • Working with the VP of US Sales to ensure that the processes are consistent between the US and UK sales teams
  • Attending face-to-face sales meetings throughout the UK and signing up new clients
  • Establishing new business relationships through contact via telephone, email, social media and direct mail to both cold and warm leads
  • Experience within a rapidly growing organisation is highly desirable

In addition to the highly competitive annual salary, a generous commission structure is in place. Industry experience is ideal, and all applicants will be able to demonstrate excellence in their previous roles.

Requirements

  • Proven track record of winning complex, high-value contracts in the digital marketing sector
  • A strong understanding of digital marketing strategy and individual channels
  • Proven leadership ability to influence, develop, and empower employees to achieve
  • Target driven motivation with the ability to work to strict deadlines and monitor KPI’s
  • Extensive experience dealing with a range of reputable, high-value accounts
  • Previous experience leading a successful sales function is essential
  • Proven success growing the company’s brand/client portfolio across a range of sectors
  • An incredibly strong work ethic and determination to succeed
  • Experience within a similar new business / B2B sales role; the successful candidate may have experience selling software or technology solutions
