Stepping stones

Management Development Program – Accredited by ILM and Leeds Beckett University

We offer a Management Development Program to employees who are making the transition to management level.

Accredited by the Institute of Leadership and Management and Leeds Beckett University, the program has been designed to equip individuals with the necessary skills and knowledge to become a successful manager.

The program spans 18 months and participants receive a Level 5 diploma upon completion.

At Search Laboratory, new ideas are always welcome, and we reward innovation. Each month we invite employees to put forward their innovative efforts for a chance to win the innovation award.

Innovation award winner – Stewart Robertson

FeedLab™ UI

Stewart won the innovation award for improving the functionality in FeedLab, our internal piece of proprietary software that we use to generate campaigns and ads for our PPC clients from their product feeds. Stewart developed a series of web pages which allow Account Managers to configure the settings required to process a product feed themselves rather than relying on the technical team’s input which had been required previously. The new interface also allows Account Managers to see the impact of their changes and upload ads to a test account before putting them live.

Pushing boundaries

Practical experience is invaluable especially in our technical SEO and PPC teams, that’s why we are continuously trying to push the boundaries of what we know and have developed our own set of proprietary productivity and performance tools to improve our team’s efficiency.

We have also purchased websites to be used as testing platforms, allowing us to take a practical approach, testing our theories so that new techniques can be applied and assessed.
