Plan, attract, engage and align
On Tuesday 13th November Search Laboratory attended the Econsultancy Funnel event at the Emirates Stadium, London.
Search Laboratory sponsored the event having both a stand and Ian Harris, our CEO, speaking on the topic of B2B Global Expansion and how search marketing can help businesses expand internationally. Ian delivered a well-received talk covering the do’s and dont’s of investing in search marketing for global expansion. The talk provided a good mix of humorous examples of translation errors and sound advice on how to do things right. The talk was covered by Econsultancy in their own summary blog post titled: Three tips for an international SEO strategy.
The Search Laboratory team were on hand to help any visitors with their search marketing queries and on the stand we had the famous Search Laboratory multilingual search marketing quiz. The winner had the chance to win an iPad mini! Additionally there was a business card draw for £200 worth of ASOS vouchers (the winners are yet to be announced).
We learnt a lot from the day and the speakers who presented. My personal favourite – aside from Ian’s obviously – was Mike Volpe from HubSpot talking on Inbound Marketing. It was very insightful and reinforced the importance of good quality, relevant content for a robust marketing strategy.
Econsultancy provides a great roundup of this speech and others from Funnel.
I would like to close by saying thank you to the Econsultancy team for hosting a great event, which was enjoyed by all the Search Laboratory team, and to all the speakers who took the time to produce interesting and informative talks.
