As well as running regular fundraising events for our charity of the year, we provide pro-bono digital marketing support and training. From increasing organic visibility to gathering insights that can improve their paid activity, we want to ensure our charity partners can continue to raise more funds when our partnership ends.
“We can’t believe what great impact this has had so quickly. We are truly grateful for the work Search Laboratory put into our website; I never thought that we would achieve such wonderful results.”
Clive Sandle, Director of Simon on the Streets.
This was in reaction to a £35,000 donation from Channel 4’s “The Secret Millionaire” after the donor found the company online following the work we did.
Every year, our staff nominate local charities close to their heart and we select a charity to work with for 18 months. Leeds Hospitals Charity was put forward by our Assistant Management Accountant, Scott Hamilton.
Leeds Hospitals Charity provided huge amounts of much-needed support to him and his partner through some extremely difficult months when their son Theodore was born prematurely and needed to be kept in hospital. With Theodore now happy and healthy, and back with his parents, Scott wanted to give back to the charity by nominating them as our chosen partner.
Leeds Hospitals Charity is the dedicated charity partner for Leeds Teaching Hospitals. They raise money to help buy life-saving equipment, fund ground-breaking research and clinical trials, and provide support for patients and their families. They also fund play specialists for Leeds Children’s Hospitals who help make life for kids on their wards more fun. The money we raise at Search Laboratory throughout this partnership will go directly to the neonatal units that helped Scott and his family at both the Leeds General Infirmary (LGI) and St James’.
We will also be helping with their website and digital marketing activity, using our expertise to raise awareness and visibility to help gain more donations.
As a company, we recognise the importance of our environmental impact and are actively seeking ways to reduce our carbon footprint; we are certified for Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions with Environmental Strategies Limited and are working towards Scope 3.
With this in mind, we have launched an internal Footprint group that meets on a bi-monthly basis to discuss ways we can reduce our carbon footprint and be more environmentally friendly as a company. The main areas that we chose to focus on are; travel, consumables and waste.
