Leonie has always been interested in websites. At the age of nine, she built her first website and gained experience by helping her dad build and design websites and touching on SEO. This led to her studying Web Technologies at university. As part of her studies, she did a year abroad in Italy providing ICT support for a large European university.
She started her career as a front-end web developer for a large online retailer and then joined Search Laboratory in a similar role. She has created digital assets for link building, developed CRO A/B tests, designed programmatic ad creatives and developed conversion–focused landing pages. She then moved into the technical SEO department as SEO started to become more development focused. Here she helped evolve the team’s skillset and was promoted to Head of Technical SEO.
Her goal as the Head of Technical SEO is for her team to be at the cutting edge of technical SEO and to continue helping to bridge the gap between web development and SEO, allowing them to work smarter via automation and data analysis.
She has worked with clients such as UiPath, Nord Anglia Education, Belfor, and Unite Students.
