Search Laboratory is working with the Department for International Trade (DIT) Yorkshire and Humber to deliver workshops about international digital marketing topics to SMEs in the region.
The workshops, held at Search Laboratory’s West Park office, are centred around providing actionable takeaways and advice for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SMEs) to help them use their website to expand internationally. Topics include translation, technical SEO, PPC, Google Analytics and more. The events have been devised to take businesses through each step of the digital marketing journey:
Plan It Workshop – What work needs to be completed to ensure websites are optimised for expansion.
Make It Workshop – Implementation of recommendations to get the website ready.
Promote It Workshop – Use paid media and PR to get your brand in front of your target audience
Measure It Workshop – Reporting and analysis of digital marketing channels.
Brett Harland, digital trade adviser for the Department for International Trade (DIT) Yorkshire and the Humber, said:
“In today’s digitally driven economy, an increasing number of businesses realise they can significantly increase their sales by targeting customers overseas. Just as online sales are increasing here, so are online opportunities abroad. Businesses can increase their worldwide presence by better structuring their websites for international reach. A quick and low-cost way to enter these markets is by using global e-marketplaces and we have preferential agreements worldwide that companies can take advantage of. Any small or medium-sized business wishing to improve its skills and knowledge in this key area should attend the workshops being staged with Search Laboratory as we work together to encourage more SMEs to trade overseas.”
Ian Harris, CEO, Search Laboratory said:
“We’re thrilled to be working with the DIT Yorkshire and the Humber to help local businesses expand. There’s more opportunities than ever to grow your business through digital marketing, and our workshops take you step by step along the journey.”
The DIT have eight more events planned in 2017.
