Published this weekend, the third annual Sunday Times Lloyds SME Export Track 100 league table ranks Britain’s private small and medium-sized companies (SMEs) with the fastest-growing international sales.
increased overseas sales by 109% over the past two years, with international income accounting for £3.4m, placing them 16th in the list and the second highest Yorkshire company. This is a significant improvement on last year’s score when the company placed 54th in the list.
This latest research illustrates how closely connected Britain’s export drive is with its trading partners across both the Atlantic and the English Channel. Eighty-five of the companies sell to the continent, making it the most popular market, followed by North America (77). Search Laboratory has seen this expansion first-hand, and has conducted events and webinars all about exporting internationally. See the full list of resources on international expansion here.
The league table is sponsored by Lloyds Banking Group, DHL Express and Heathrow Airport, and supported by the government’s Exporting is GREAT campaign. It is compiled by Fast Track, the Oxford-based research and networking events firm.
Search Laboratory CEO, Ian Harris commented:
“To reach the list for the second year running, and massively improve upon last year’s ranking, is a fantastic achievement and demonstrates how more and more businesses are targeting international markets.
We’ve continued to see an increase in demand for multilingual campaign management across the world, and as a result, our overseas sales reached over £3.4million last year.
Our approach is to provide an ethical and statistical approach to digital marketing, and to build high-performance multilingual campaigns that are optimised by mother-tongue linguists and not just translated from the English version.”
