Over the last three years, we have raised over £18,000 for our partner charity, Leeds Hospitals Charity.
Every charity partnership is chosen by staff who suggest charities which they have a personal connection to. Back in 2019, our Assistant Management Accountant, Scott Hamilton put forward Leeds Hospitals Charity who provided vital support to his family during a very difficult period when his son, Theo, was born prematurely and needed to stay in hospital.
Frequent fundraising activities included the likes of running the distance between our Leeds, New York and Austin offices, abseiling down multi-story buildings and countless cake sales all contributing to supporting the crucial work of the charity.
Providing vital support for NHS staff across several hospitals in Leeds, the charity work with local communities, schools and businesses to provide over £5 million in funding for Leeds Teaching Hospitals Trust.
Since our partnership started in 2019, we have raised a total of £18,307.76 through a regular series of staff events.
As part of our charity partnerships, our digital experts also offer their time to help them increase their online presence and set them up for continued success in the future.
With our support for the charity happening throughout the pandemic, we helped them to drive digital donations as these were needed more than ever at a time when traditional fundraising events had to be cancelled. The marketing campaign we supported them with drove almost £20,000 worth of donations. You can read more about that here.
Our goal was to raise £16,000 as this would pay for two new parent bedrooms, which will be used by new parents of premature or sick babies that need to stay in the hospital. By surpassing this amount, we have ensured that the neonatal unit at Leeds General Infirmary will receive two new rooms.
We are delighted to have exceeded our goal and provide space for parents experiencing these difficult times to be close to their loved ones. We will be announcing our next charity partnership very soon, so watch this space!
