People & Talent Advisor

14 months fixed-term maternity cover

We’re on the hunt for a People & Talent Advisor! This will be someone who is passionate about building a great employee and candidate experience, as we’re always striving for Search Laboratory to be the best agency there is to work for.

Search Laboratory is a full-service digital marketing agency and we have been growing for over 15 years. This role is integral to attracting clients from all over the world, allowing our teams to work on exciting and clever digital marketing campaigns for a range of household names.

We’ve been featured as one of the UK’s ‘Top 1000 Most Inspirational Companies’ and have been voted by our employees as one of the Best Companies’ ‘Top 100 Companies to Work For’ (eight times… and counting!). We’re always on the lookout for the right skills and personalities to jump on board and help us continue to expand!

In this role you will be responsible for attracting and selecting talent, whilst providing generalist HR support to our management team and staff. We have approximately 130 colleagues based in the UK and you will be their first point of contact for HR-related queries, including payroll and benefits, whilst supporting broader people priorities that support the company’s growth. In this role you will:

  • Build relationships with managers to understand current opportunities, challenges and recruitment needs.
  • Manage the end-to-end recruitment process to bring talent into the business as quickly as possible.
  • As the first point of contact, advise and coach managers on our policies and a range of people-related matters – including ER, parental leave, absence and flexible working [escalating complex cases to the Head of People as needed].
  • Own elements of our listening strategy, including exit interviews and the post induction survey.
  • Share insights, feedback and innovative ideas with the wider team.
  • Issue contracts and offer letters and arrange company-level induction sessions.
  • Showcase our benefits, being the first point of contact for any queries, and managing all benefits administration.
  • Collate payroll information for our central finance team on a monthly and bi-monthly basis and processing starters and leavers.

This role would suit someone who is passionate about attracting and retaining talent, and who is also interested in wider HR practices. This would be a great step up for a HR administrator/Coordinator looking to gain more HR experience, or an established advisor looking for a new challenge.
